Finish pruning your roses
It is well worth tidying and cutting back your roses before new growth begins.
Rambling roses should have old stems removed and the new ones tied in.
Climbers probably only need to be tidied and have dead and damaged stems removed.
Bedding roses should be cut back by half. If in doubt about how to do this drop into your local Plantsplus garden centre and we will be happy to show you. It is better to prune than to let roses grow tall and straggly.
When you have your roses cut back it is an ideal time to feed with a good rose food.
As soon as your roses start to leaf up spray with Roseclear. The early sprays are the most important.
